What’s up everyone?

Over the weekend, I finished Kanye West’s Netflix documentary ‘Jeen-Yuhs’ and it’s probably one of the most inspiring films I have ever seen 🎬

Collected from over 7.5 hours of raw footage captured by his childhood friend ‘ Coodie’, the doc tracks the early years of West’s journey coming up in Hip-Hop and his struggle to gain recognition as not just a kid with a back-pack who produces beats for other artists, but an actual rapper himself.

Because of his mental health issues and controversial public image in the recent years, the doc sets a fresh perspective on reminding everyone how talented Kanye really is, and more than that, the insane amount of confidence that he had in himself, even when he was practically a nobody đŸ€·â€â™‚ïž

While there are innumerable clips that capture his genius, my favourite is when Ye shows a sample of his hit single ‘Through the Wire ‘ to Pharrell Williams, who literally couldn’t believe what he was listening to đŸ€Ż

Pharrell was already a big deal back then, and it was clear by his reaction that he knew Kanye was set for greatness even as early as 2004 ⭐

Heardle: Testing your Music Vocabulary đŸŽ”

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you would have heard of the viral online game ‘Wordle’ which lets users guess a 5-lettered word in five attempts, and blew up with millions of daily players globally.

While Wordle was eventually acquired earlier last month by the New York Times, there have been a slew of clones ever since that attempted to copy Wordle’s meteoric rise.

I came across one such clone that’s actually a pretty cool game if you’re obsessed with music.

Titled ‘ Heardle ‘: it lets users get 6 attempts at guessing the song of the day, with six separate 2 second samples from the song to help users give a clue.

While they’ve credited the makers of Wordle, Heardle can potentially become more popular than its inspiration

I tried it out yesterday, and despite the song being ‘Black Skinhead’ from Kanye West, and me thinking of myself as a big enough Ye fan, I couldn’t get it 😅

Here’s a video which breaks down how it works đŸ‘‡đŸ»

While i’m not quite sure who’s actually built this, you can check it out for yourself right
